New Artist Chloé Bolloré Enters the Pop Art Rebellion

As seen in The Villager, released March 6, 2025

With a commanding aesthetic, an iconoclastic disposition, and an innate aptitude for Pop Art, the French and Parisian-born Chloé B. has mastered her discipline with an acute understanding of its historical and cultural lineage. Newly signed by DTR Modern Galleries, her art career has grown to reflect a sophisticated interplay of materiality and concept as she challenges the viewer to reconsider the symbols of modern life through a crafted lens. As she evolves as an artist and under new representation, she enters the also growing dialogue of contemporary pop art.

Initially drawn to digital media, Bolloré gained attention from local French galleries due to her pointillist mosaic portraits from pixel-sized photographs. She then transitioned to sculpture, using her expertise in two-dimensional collages to create three-dimensional metal structures suspended on walls. Metal sculpture is her favored medium, which she continues to develop and morph alongside her obsession with popular culture motifs, symbols and caricatures.
