NEW YORK, NY – DTR Modern Galleries is thrilled to announce Chromatic Resonance, a solo exhibition of new works by internationally acclaimed artist Francisco Valverde. Opening Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 458 West Broadway, this show promises to be a bold conclusion to the year, showcasing Valverde’s unparalleled mastery of texture, color, and form. Born in Cuernavaca, Mexico, Valverde is renowned for his ability to transform the traditional medium of paint into dynamic, sculptural compositions. His hallmark technique involves layering glossy strands of pigmented resin, creating works that oscillate between painting and sculpture. With a deft hand and an adventurous spirit, Valverde constructs intricate surfaces that shimmer with light, evoking both emotional depth and physical movement.

Chromatic Resonance My work speaks to and reflects my primal need to find order and peace in a world that at times, can be chaotic . Chroma and texture offer us the magnificent possibility to rearrange our inner realm . Through chroma, we have the opportunity to travel through our sensorial apparatus and experience a deeper, heightened reality. With texture, we can sense and perceive our material structures—a grounding connection to our place in the universe.
