Cover Art Debut by Sabine Weidenhofer

Sabine Weidenhofer and her March 22. 2024 Dan’s cover art “Give Peace a Hand"

“Give Peace a Hand,” a sculpture by Sabine Weidenhofer, was featured on the cover of Dan’s Papers from DTR Modern Galleries. Sabine is a Vienna-born artist who specializes in glass sculpture work preparing for her upcoming exhibition at the Venice Biennale.

Sabine’s work is motivated by the complexity of glass as a symbol for humanity and societal structures that limit women and minorities. Dan’s Papers claims that “glass lives by an inherent dichotomy, aligning paradoxical - and even mutually exclusive - characteristics such as fragility and strength, opacity and transparency, presence and absence.” Wiedenhofer has discovered glass as her language to communicate her concerns with the struggles of the world - displacement, mass migration, conflict and war - for audiences to view and contemplate.

Dan’s Papers dives into the evolution of Sabine as an artist and sculptor, her relationship with DTR Modern, her status in the art world, and her noteworthy future exhibition at the Venice Biennale. Her work is currently on view at DTR Modern Galleries in Palm Beach.
