Sabine Wiedenhofer

Sabine Wiedenhofer, born in 1974 in Vienna, is one of the most important Austrian artists on the contemporary market. Wiedenhofer calls upon the problems of society and reflects those notions both playfully and transparently through her abstract paintings and contemporary sculptures, introducing a thought-provoking call for a better world.

Her work has been exhibited in Vienna, Venice, New York, Miami, Salzburg and Cologne. Her glass sculptures are produced in the wolrd famous Berengo Studio in Murano/Venice. With a long list of solo and group exhibitions, art fairs, and actual projects, she has begun to passionately pave the way for the unheard voices.

Recently completed, is Sabine’s new wall sculpture “IMAGINE,” made of 675 rifle bullets in the colors of the rainbow. A sign for diversity, peace, love and humanity, she exhibited this at “Top Up Gallery Reinisch at the Salzburg 2023 Festival. Furthermore, her other recent project, “NO MORE” gained major press coverage. She similarly crafted a wall sculpture made of 1008 rifle bullets, along with several glass sculptures and 20 oil paintings on canvas for her solo exhibition in Upper Austria. As an activist, “NO MORE” was displayed as a stand against exclusion and violence. She uses her artistic expression to stand for “what is on the minds oft most: the desire for change, resolution and peace.”
