KOZO

Kozo is a 27 year old artist famous for his colored micro-realism tattoos. His fascination with art began early on in his childhood in Israel. He was a student of art through his elementary years, drawing, sculpting and painting for years before trying a new sort of canvas— human skin.

Kozo picked up a tattoo machine for the first time at 17 and hasn't quit since. He is self-taught, and his first clients were his willing friends in his own bedroom, with a machine he bought off of eBay. In 2020, after seven years of practice, he moved to New York City to pursue his dreams and currently works at Bang Bang Tattoo. He is known to have inked many high profile celebrities, making him one of the most celebrated and biggest names in the tattoo industry. He has become a worldwide sensation, with over one million followers on Instagram.

Now, Kozo returns to his origins as an artist. He brings his pop culture tattoo designs that took social media by storm back to traditional mediums such as canvas and paper, to create unique, one-of-a-kind masterpieces for each client. His art is known for its steady lines, smooth gradients, precise detail, and gorgeous micro tattoo creations. His designs are said to be minimalistic as he believes less is more, but aims to tell stories and bridge connections among people and cultures. He is inspired by traditional painters such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Jacques-Louis David for their paintings, as well as their persistence and work ethic. He also derives much inspiration from traveling, specifically to South Korea and is heavily influenced by Korean culture and artists. He has mastered this style and continues to learn from Old Masters, up-and-coming artists and new experiences, becoming a leader in the current culture of contemporary art.

All designs are original and limited edition.
